Grounding Work, A Symposium on Art
& the Environment will be held at the Massachusetts
College of Art & Design on November 9-11, 2007.
This interdisciplinary conference will bring together
artists, scientists, and other interested parties
to explore the intersections of art and environmental
concerns.

are pleased to announce that the Symposium keynote
will be given by Agnes
Denes.
One of the early pioneers of both the environmental
art movement and Conceptual art, Denes brings
her wide ranging interests in the physical and
social sciences, mathematics, philosophy, linguistics,
poetry and music to her delicate drawings, books
and monumental artworks around the globe.
